As we move into November plenty has been happening around here. We had the Jamrock Reggae Cruise, H.I.M’s Coronation Anniversary, the passing of John Holt, Halloween and of course plenty of music. #MixtapeMondays returns with new tunes from one of JA’s favorite groups and mixed carnival vibes from NYC and London.

T.O.K, Taking Over Mixtape: It’s not everyday you get a new full-length mixtape from T.O.K (unless maybe you’re digging thru some classic Federation x DJ Autograph mixes). The guys come back in ’14 with Taking Over to give you a taste of what’s on deck from the group in various directions as you would expect, delivered by DJ Donny from the mighty Coppershot Sound. If you rate T.O.K grab this rite away. Stream below

Robzilla, Calling All Worlds Mixtape: Biggup our folks in NYC Robzilla from the Dutty Artz crew and the bredren Jah Banks for the ting call Calling All Worlds mix session. Coinciding with the Calling All Girls Remixes that just dropped — including one from this guy who also opens up the mix with his Sizzla remix — Robzilla and Banks keep a nice live energy throughout this tape with the feeling of a live show or carnival setting. Madd thing. Stream and download below, tracklist here

Smutlee, Lights On Mix For Monki: Staying in the carnival lane we have some sick and custom selections from our mate Smutlee in Brixton. Smut’s been known for flipping the script with a bagga remixes at every turn whether it’s dancehall, soca, rap, funky, grime, jungle, and puts it all on tape for this quick mix for Monki and BBC Radio One. This one dates back to Notting Hill weekend a bit back but deserves a re-rave. Stream and download below, tracklist here

#MixtapeMondays this week pays tribute to one of reggae’s golden voices while looking at today’s sound via a current roster of dancehall’s ruling class. Catch a vibe below.

Deadly Dragon Sound, Tribute to John Holt: Last week we lost another powerful voice in reggae history, the iconic singer and songwriter John Holt. Adored for generations from his beginnings with The Paragons to his solo classics throughout the 80’s, Holt cemented his place in reggae music and will not soon be forgotten. Many thanks to NYC’s reggae vinyl authorities at Deadly Dragon Sound for piecing together Holt’s career gems from rocksteady and ska onwards along with some dusty specials for this live tribute mix. Catch up on some of our favorites from his extensive catalog right here. Stream the mix below, tracklist and more words from DDS here

Silent Addy, WAYUP!: Moving into the modern day situation we have this sick new tape from our bredren Silent Addy from Eccentrix Sound out in Miami. Addy’s momentum has been on full blast lately, building dancehall and culture all the way UP with his compadres Chi Chi Ching, Team No Sleep and artists like Popcaan and Lil Jon. Way up and stay up with the latest mix from Addy reeling off the best in the latest dancehall heat. Stream below, download here

Soldia Sound, Dancehall University Fall 2k14: Keeping it on the bashy tip we have the latest drop from Switzerland’s Soldia Sound via their always popping Dancehall University mix series. If you’re looking for some tuff new riddims and singles along with some bits for the lovers this would be a quick fix, with a heap of new Kartel, Alkaline, Tommy Lee, Bugle, Kalado, Octane, Mavado, QQ and more. Monday is here and while some of our crew is headed off to JA on the „Welcome to Jamrock“ cruise (jerks) it’s music and mixes as usual here at #MixtapeMondays. Big new vibes and a few curveballs from JA, Canada, Hawaii and beyond ..

QQ, One Drop Mixtape: The artiste like QQ just dropped his first official mixtape on the world to reel off some current material in conjunction with Sicily’s Wildcat Sound. Not a literal mix of one drop reggae music, but titled after QQ’s biggest tune to date which is still rattling dances worldwide. We also caught up with QQ at The LargeUp Sessions on Radio Lily this August for a pass through and also put him on the spot to cut an exclusive freestyle. Stream the mix below, tracklist and download here

Blondtron x Prince Zimboo x A Tribe Called Red, Bouncin‘ Bush Stew Vol. 4: Another wild — uninhibited if you will— project from Vancouver’s Blondtron in combo with the always lol-inducing Prince Zimboo and Native Canadian supergroup A Tribe Called Red. This mix is kinda like ripping around the jungle in a converted 4×4 with a lion in the backseat, Blondtron raving on the hood and Zimboo howling on the roof. Read more on Mad Decent, stream and download the mix below, tracklist here

Melody Jay, Island Beats: Capping things off with some true island vibes from one of the 808’s hottest selectors and radio personalities Melody Jay. The mix highlights primarily Hawaiian and Polynesian artists, as well a few Caribbean one drop favorites that can be heard permeating the islands and airwaves thanks to folks like Melody. Nice and easy spirit from start to finish, if you’re having a rough day switch this one on and jus cool. Stream and download below, tracklist here

Strictly energy this week at #MixtapeMondays to get you nice and fired for the road, even if it’s just the road to the office. Soca, moombahton and an extra large portion of excluisve remixes set the trend from Miami to NYC and back.

Black Chiney, Uh Gosh!!!: The badmen from Miami are back with an insane 2014 soca mix that takes everything to that next level, no surprise when dealing with Black Chiney. With Willy Chin and Supa Dups at the boards, this is an exclusive ting from start to finish, shelling off 98% original remixes, blends, specials and versions of some of the biggest tunes in soca, colliding with a barrage of samples and vibes, megamix style. Nothing normal about it. Stream and download below, tracklist here

Walshy Fire, Socal 5: While on the topic of Black Chiney you can’t leave out crew member and longtime LargeUp affiliate Walshy Fire who’s been as active as ever. Whether it’s hammering festivals around with globe with his Major Lazer squad, documenting new movements in Jamaica with Noisey, or juggling a handsome new set of twins, the guy’s got his hands full. Never stops him from coming thru with new mixes, this round rewinding some big soca tunes from Notting Hill Carnival while gearing up for Miami Carnival next month. Stream below

Andre Airplane, Moomraker: Somewhat of a sleeper shot from the Jamaican-born, NYC-based DJ/producer Andre Airplane. This mix randomly found its way in my inbox via that random guy Diplo, and the mix goneeee inna dancehall-meets-moombahton style, mixing exclusively original remixes produced by Andre himself. I can think of a few selectors that would be hungry to obtain some of these unreleased joints… Some clever skits, flips and samples in there if you dig deep.
